Hi Brian:

My schedule is open.  I suggested Tuesday 10:30 AM because weather is supposed to be warm, pleasant and sunny.  The time seemed to put us between the morning and noon crowds.

I sent James a batch of information via email.  Let me know if you want me to send information to you.

I am well versed with Wordpress, but I can't be there on Tues. Can you shoot me an email with details of what you are needing help with?

Hi Brian:

I would like to meet you for coffee (my treat) at the Starbucks located across from WestTown Mall next Tuesday February 7th at 10:30 AM.  If you know of a web designer/developer that is very well versed with WordPress, please extend the invitation to that person/persons also.

If there are EOK members that are very well versed with WordPress, please consider this an open invitation (again my treat).

Please confirm by phone at 1 (865) 951-0918 or by email  This will tell me how many information packets to prepare.

I have an opportunity that is ideal for independent Web design professionals.  My website,, serves businesses as small as one-person retail or service operations.  As a result, many of these businesses do not have the resources or knowledge to put together advertising media for  I would like to refer them to someone that can do a good job for them at a reasonable rate, instead of a full marketing firm that would be overkill for their situation.

You may realize that it is just these sort of referrals that lead to Website contracts.

Please contact me at and let's talk!

Mark, think about the crowdsourcing events at the EOK. There are a number of members with web based businesses in the group.  We're all be happy to help out.  Feel free to hit me up anytime with guestions, too.

Although HTML 5 is not yet a complete standard (and won't be for years), there are startups banking on the technology. One great example is If you haven't heard about it yet, you might want to check it out before it becomes the next facebook!

Team, anyone have some time to meet with a member who's interested in having a website built? He also wants some help with his page...simple but useful.

Can anyone meet next week to brainstorm a little in my conference room?  Client is available after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday and anytime before 1:30 p.m. Thursday.  Let me know.  You can email me at and I'll get it setup.

OK...we've asked before and we're asking again. Anyone want to help with prettying up the site? I'm attaching the Ning CSS...if you're a CSS guru, you should be able to figure it out fairly quickly. I'm hoping we can get a pretty cool template to possibly share with others...maybe we start an EOK business of selling Ning templates??

Here's the code. If you want to add some images, just put them here and I'll put them in the appropriate directory you indicate...i think we have a directory of or /assets/images or something.

Here's the CSS we're using:

Please take a look and see if we can jazz this thing up!

Here's more ning info I received yesterday.

I've tried the idea but the implementation doesn't "feel" as nice as ning. I had trouble getting the site usable as quickly as a ning site. I setup back in July of 2008 but let it die in October 2008 when Spruz went to pay only (like ning now). Great product though...we could look again.
