With the new EOK format, we will be recording podcasts weekly on topics of interest to Entrepreneurs.  I'm looking for a few interested helping with a podcast on technical support with an emphasis on supporting your workstations, servers, networking, phones, printers, etc.

The goal would be to help people with issues.  I'm thinking we use something like talkshoe or skype to allow listeners/viewers to ask questions live.  Also, we could have questions/problems posted ahead of time with delicious, voices heard, a google docs form, etc.

Who's in?  We can have a quick meeting or two this week and next to get our game plan together.  We can meet in the Taking IT Home office (1202 Kenesaw, 37919)

I just spoke to an EOK member (Jim Cook). Jim has a PC issue. His computer will not boot. It just beeps and stops. He believes there is a short in the IDE connection for the main drive. I'm attaching the audio from my call with Jim and the notes I took during the call. Let me know if you can look at this issue.

I work 5 min away from SHPC. I could go over during lunch, but would need someone to talk me through the debug process over the phone. Note: I understand that this procedure would not work for "real" customers.

Sorry for delay on moving Tech Support business forward; It's completely in my court. I've been swamped by other commitments but plan to make time to complete my tasks this week/weekend and move this project forward. We're currently waiting for me to define the roles/responsibilities/personnel for the leadership team of this organization. I'll get the doc updated asap.

Service Opportunity: I just received a text from Becky Guyton at Sequoyah Hills Presbyterian Church. She indicates they have two users unable to log into the Win 2003 Server. "Gets hung at loading profile". Can someone handle this? Brandon has been working with them routinely but is out of town. 865-522-9804

More Data points:
Commercial car seen in Maryville with big logos for "Geeks in a Flash". Sign seen in West K'ville for "Geeks for Less". There seems to be growing competition (or maybe I am just becoming more aware.
