If you've launched a new company since you've been a member of EOK, we'd like to hear from you!  Post a comment telling us about your new company...good for you...good for us!  If you're not sure when you launched your company, check the attached PDF for your name or your company's name.

We have the impression that EOK has helped many of our members via education, introductions, information, etc. with the startup of their latest venture and would like to document those.  If we can find any newspaper references, we'll also add your company to our wikipedia article and create a page for your business.

I started at EOK as an independent agent for another company, but last year, I started Meta Technical Consulting.  We help larger small businesses and medium-sized companies move forward by streamlining and integrating their telecommunications, physical security systems, merchant services, and cloud services. We're an objective, independent resource that help our clients figure out the chaos of communications and technology services without having to deal with dozens of meetings with salespeople who all think their product is best. Our new (almost fully completed) site is at http://movewithmeta.com

Last November we unveiled BestMeetingRooms.com to the Internet.  This year we will grow past the Beta or pilot stage to cover more of the Eastern United States.  During our development, we benefited greatly from EOK's Crowdsourcing sessions.  Advice from those sessions made huge differences in our business plan!  We plan to grow enormously in the coming months and EOK members will play a big role in our success going forward.

I started Taking IT Home, LLC with two other EOK members in June of 2011.  TITH is a residential tech support company that operates on a membership model.  Most of our competitors work on a break-fix model.  They get paid when your stuff breaks...we get paid to keep your stuff up and working.  We're kinda like the viagra of tech support.  We're online at http://takingithome.com

I joined EOK back in Nov 2010 because my father is a business owner and since Jan 2008 I've handled social media for him.

Now I'd like to know how to get started in a new business venture of my own. I'm on the verge of my first paying client, I meet with them today after work. I'm wanting to see what it takes to setup my business. I've already secured the social media aspects of it. https://twitter.com/#!/850Media http://850media.tumblr.com/  My biggest issue is I work Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm so it makes it difficult for me to make it to the Wed meetings. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Leo,

You might need to send this out in an email for the very reason we talked about at pub night :)
