More awesomeness from EOK. We used the shared space down in Sequoyah Hills to shoot a video for StreetJelly.com. The video is not ready yet, it's in "post-production." I don't really know what that means, but it sounds good. We'll use the video for a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the streaming music site. (Wait, what? You don't know what StreetJelly is? Well, check it out: it's a streaming video website where musicians perform live by webcam for tips. It's like being a street musician, but online.) We'll also use the video for a "commercial" when we sponsor the Virtual Music Conference in January.
Making the video was a load of fun. Long time EOK friend Devon Hicks runs his own video production company. Tommy Nguyen from Neighborhood Nerds (another EOK biz), met us at the EOK space Saturday morning. The plan was to shoot two different scenes in the space; one of the musician performing in front of the StreetJelly website, and the other scene to show viewers enjoying the music. Tommy had a great idea to unlock the empty suite next to Neighborhood Nerds. It's a gutted store at the moment (see Leo to lease it!). It was perfect for an industrial look for our musician. Thank goodness for all the crap Leo has stored in there! :)
So when then the time comes to make a video for your business, talk to the folks at EOK. The resources and (even more importantly) the passion is there! And stay tuned for our Kickstarter campaign. We have a number of cool gifts we're planning to give away for anyone that pledges to StreetJelly.
