We at Angel Capital Group have started what we call Open Pitch.

Three local companies will be invited to pitch for 8 minutes with 5 minutes of Q&A in the 45 minutes prior to our normal monthly meeting time monthly.  There is no guarantee of funding, but due to popularity, we have started an internal mentor program to allow these Open Pitch companies to escalate to funding within ACG.  We expect it to figure prominently into the 2014 investment season.  I think you know we will be meeting at the KEC on the second Tuesday of the month at 5:00 from now on.  Please attend if you can!

This is a great opportunity for local entrepreneurs to pitch and test their skills in front of real investors who want to see more deal flow, and more local deal flow (a constant request we get).  This will give local entrepreneurs a sounding board and hopefully create a new crop of nationally competitive, investment quality deals that we may consider in the future for investment.   We will also be implementing some new entrepreneur facing feedback and training tools with Venture360 to help get more qualified deals through the process in partnership with the Kaufman Foundation.

So, the request is simple.  Please send me your best and brightest.  We have an avenue for them to pitch now.

Eric, Feel free to add this (or have someone do it for you) to the EOK calendar.  We also make announcements to the News Sentinel for their calendar of events if you put it on the EOK calendar.
