In January of 2010, there will be six new venture capital funds (TNInvestco’s) across the state of Tennessee with a total of $120 million to invest in seed stage companies. These TNInvestco’s will have a requirement to deploy up to half their capital within the first two years. What that means for entrepreneurs is there will be a bit of frenzy over the next several months as both the investors and entrepreneurs work to find each… Continue

Patrick Hunt wants to let EOK know about his latest project, Circle Chirp (http://circlechirp.com).
A circle is like having your own personal Twitter about a particular topic that's important to you. So, for example, I created one for EOK at http://eok.circlechirp.com. After you complete the registration, go to your Dashboard and enter in your Twitter credentials. All your posts and comments will be automatically tweeted with a short URL back to CircleChirp. This is a very early beta, but… Continue

I downloaded the Trial… Continue

Great meeting today, with much commentary about next phase of EOK. Looking for "rubber to the road" Case Studies, and "How We Can Help" in specific examples with our members.
Barley's at 5:30 Thursday -- beer and great thinktankery!

Selling Business Intelligence software is like selling a heater to an Eskimo, when he thinks it's a refrigerator. (Yes, we know Eskimos are now called Inuits, but that's not the point.) Ask 100 Business Intelligence (BI) experts for an explanation and you will receive as many different answers. Think of Microsoft's "Surfin' CEO" TV commercial. Who understands that?… Continue
