If you already have questions you want answered on these subjects, let me know in advance so I can be best prepared to help those in attendance on the 13th. The secret to entrepreneurial success is simple:
Look for gaps in different industries and sectors of the business world. Think of possible solutions—the means by which you can fill these gaps. Snoop around and see if anybody else has noticed the same gap. Research these competitors and then offer a solution with superior performance, a lower price, or a better value.
Always keep in mind, price and value are two different animals.
I discovered this foundational… Continue

I have a new product, and we need some help setting up the install script (don't want to pull my key developers off for something that's fairly simple). Anybody out there have some experience with InstallShield? I have a spec, but basically it involves standard software install plus running some SQL scripts. Drop me a line if you can help or know somebody. Thanks!

If you have an idea (or have been discussing one on EOK) and you haven't submitted your one page proposal in the Tech2020 business plan competition..... well, throwing away a good chance at free money (and free training) is just crazy!

Here is a logo idea I came up with early on. It's the letters of EOK formed into a person. EOK is about the individual...ALL about the individual. We want every member to be as successful as possible!

I have to wonder at this point how deep their standards support is. I see a lot of information on OpenSocial and developing widgets for their social networking service, perhaps someone with direct knowledge and experience can comment here. I certainly hope that the Ning folks appreciate the difference between a standard API and a tool.
If you are wondering about the MetaWeblog API, you can check Wikipedia. Or contact Dave Winer, who is not closely associated with Windows Live Writer.… Continue

Previous to my Twitter addiction, I was a fairly regular blogger. While blogging can be an addiction, those addicts requiring quick satisfaction and a more intimate relationship with their “audience” jumped to Twitter and like services long ago. Some became video bloggers.
I’m not one of those early adopters. In… Continue
