I would be the last person in the world to say Microsoft is an innovation company. They have squashed a lot of their best ideas, or bought out companies and made them a ho-hum part of the Microsoft Borg. And that goes for Nokia, a has-been major cell phone manufacturer. The new CEO, however, seems to have kicked things into gear. And the product announced today, Microsoft HoloLens, is revolutionary. It puts 3D objects into your field of view, sometimes integrated with physical objects…Continue

She is not afraid to share the lessons she’s learned building a company from the ground up – in fact, she’ll share the good, the bad, and the downright ugly!
A little over a decade ago, Gini…Continue

Recently something terribly obvious--yet powerful--occurred to me: If you want to achieve things that no one else has done, you need to do things no one else does.
So, I thought, who achieves things that very few do? I made a list of the top 10 entrepreneurs that I learn from daily. Then I thought, which things are they doing that could really help more people? When I emailed the idea to my Fast…Continue
I've always been eminently opposed to the idea of "networking". I've always associated networking with "fake" or a "false sense of value". You're forcing a relationship...just doesn't feel right.
BUT...members of EOK keep saying this is the best "networking" organization they've ever experienced.…Continue
I have been using Wordpress for a few years. When people hear the name "Wordpress" they typically think of a blog. While Wordpress is a blogging platform, it's so much more than that. I use Wordpress as an essential part of my business on a regular basis. If you're an entrepreneur, and you don't know, or won't consider Wordpress as your CMS, or content management system, you're really missing out.
Wordpress is Great For Lean Startups (Low…Continue

You know, why just do something when you can over-do something?
I cannot fault these people for trying to make some money off entrepreneurs. This conference is probably a lot better than the Donald Trump seminars or anything else I could name. In fact, I recommend checking out their website to learn more techniques about selling online, particularly in the meeting and event arena. They are successful at what they do. Heck, if you even want to go to their event, have a great time!…Continue

Earlier this month, I presented at an EOK meeting and talked about how Google Glass might be used in business. I highlighted some of the unique qualities of Glass such as hands-free communication, augmented reality capabiliy, and close-up view for recording and demonstrating. I also talked about some of the opportunities that exist for developers to create…Continue
