How did you find EOK?
online via KNOXVILLE OVERGROUND Meetup
What do you do?
I am currently working as Recruitment Director with Knoxville Overground (KO). KO and EOK have been "siblings" since the beginning, and we have many members that are also active in EOK. KO manages a co-working community center (where the EOK meetings used to be held before) in Sequoia Hills. **We are moving downtown! Ask me for more info!**

KO is in the process of putting together a curriculum for all levels of entrepreneurs, from "Freshman" to "Senior" and beyond. We are also creating a workshop series that will help small business, work-life balance, or some other area that is beneficial to our innovative entrepreneur community, here in East Tennessee.

I run a free BABYWEARING group, which teaches the safe use of multiple types of fabric baby carriers. You can learn more about the group here http://Meetup.com/Knoxville-Babywearing. You may learn LOTS about the benefits of babywearing at TBW: the BabyWearing MECCA - http://TheBabyWearer.com.

I also design one of a kind, handmade, Asian-inspired fabric baby carriers called TWILLI PIE podegi.

I am learning the ropes of staffing/recruiting. I love the idea of working with HUMAN CAPITAL!

AND I am creative director & co-founder for Dominant Paradigm, a small design and internet consulting firm. Due to many career direction changes, Dominant Paradigm is currently mostly inactive. But we are working on a renaissance. :-)

Who are you? Tell us a little about you...
My name is Renee Holiday. I am glad to be back in Knoxville (Oak Ridge) after 7 years in South Florida.

I am a quintessential DESIGNER. I've always loved all things related to color, design, texture, etc.. I have a formal background in graphic design and web design/development. But back injuries have caused me to shift my career direction. I am now learning the ropes of the staffing/recruiting biz, in addition to my other interests.

I have a 15 year old son and a 2 year old daughter.
What role would you play in a startup?
Marketing, Visionary, Designer

Hi Renee!

I'm looking into freelancing development. Mostly in the mobile app world but other areas as well :)

I do not know about "48 hour launch". I will contact you to set something up soon.

See You Later,

Hi Renee,

I have my own company now going on my 13th year. I do mostly commercial and industrial work such as environmental assessments and remediation. I have done some consulting subcontract work out in the Oak Ridge arena and know quite a few people out there.

Are you familiar with Paper Tiger? I did not make the meeting this morning. I saw the limited seating note and because the subject was not that interesting or relevant to me I decided to let someone else have my seat. I will try to make the next meeting.

Renee,
There are 14 TM clubs in the Knoxville/Oakridge area. If you go to the Toastmasters.org site and click "find a club", enter your zip code it will bring them up.

I know what you mean about the crazy schedule! I was VERY late last week and had to walk across the room to find a seat! Disrupted the meeting. I noticed Leo put a note to please be on time - seating is limited! AND there is always so much going on, that often I forget who I meant to talk to! So get in my face and remind me!!! I've told that to another person too! Hope to see you in the morning - if we both make it!
