How did you find EOK?
I've been around for a long time.
Who are you? What do you do? Tell us a little about you...
I grew up in Knoxville where I attended Farragut High School. I moved to middle Tennessee to attend MTSU majoring in Philosophy and English. During my senior year, I started working for the USGS as an editor (although I never edited a full report), and I worked to create an online searchable database of all of their publications (although I had never written a line of code). I went on to develop and redesign the national website, and then I needed a change. I went to law school at UT, graduated, and passed the bar. But, I loved real estate and the internet, so I mashed up the passion into a marketer/developer as Vice President of Marketing and Technology at Holrob. In August 2008, I started my own company, Eluminare, which focused on Internet marketing. I consult with clients to create online personae, and I also help companies create Internet products for market. In February 2010, I merged my company with Bluegill Creative. Now, together we offer full service integrated marketing.

Looking For a Job? Maybe You Should Try a Different Approach

I fundamentally think that the general hiring process by interviews is flawed. Even when augmented with sophisticated personality profiles, it is very hard to know whether the person is "right for the job" until you see the team interaction, productivity, etc. So, I was very happy to read this article by Seth Godin this weekend.you can work with someone for months before you offer…See More

Hi Jeremy, I am looking forward to chatting with you tomorrw. I think we will all take away some valuable info at the meeting as well as Lunch 2.0! ;-)

I love to hear how people groom and promote their talents and interests into amazing careers! Although at that point, I guess it crosses from "career" to "CALLING"

cheers,

What Social Media Applications Are You Using Most?

Posted on October 2, 2008 at 3:00pm 3 Comments

My social media uses have changed considerably in the past two months. I have been running a poll over at my Squidoo lens. Let me know what you are currently using. If I didn’t list the application of your choice, comment.

note: At the time of posting, I was having some uptime issues with Squidoo, so if it doesn’t load the first time, try, try again.
