Once upon a time I was an outdoor enthusiast that made his way through college teaching climbing, caving, canoeing and group interaction courses. Spent several years wandering the four corner states working as in instructor for Colorado Outward Bound. I decided to get a real job and joined a few friends to start a canoe and kayak manufacturing company here in TN. That was 1988. After selling the company 10 years later, I stayed in Kingston and simply couldn't leave East TN!
I spent 10 years helping build the part of IdleAire Technologies that actually worked... the technology part. I left just prior to bankruptcy with the realization that I only have a small amount of control over software, but absolutely no control over the stock market.
For the past year I've been working with several businesses assisting with their start-up processes and helping select software solutions that are affordable, yet solve their immediate needs. I've re-learned the challenges of start-up and I'm reminded just how much fun it is and how much in flow I am with the adventure.
enjoying the conversation! (even though I know nothing about boating) ;-) - sounds like you've had a very interesting professional journey. I look forward to learning more.

So I take it, you are one of the originals of Dagger: the company that put whitewater boats on the market? I want thank you for what you've done to get boating where it is today. If we can't go boat, let's at least get outside. I'd love to meet up with you. Between the two of us, there's lots of river, rock, gradient, trails, caves and more. Let's adventure.
