Let's build a local contract job posting/applying site for EOK. We can call it
http://gigs.eokhq.com and make a little money in the process. This will be a for-profit model. We will charge local companies a nominal fee to post their contract jobs on the site. Members will not be charged to apply but non-members of EOK will be charged a fee or percentage of the job to apply.
I've started looking at some Open Source solutions and found a few. I think we can do this with a minimal amount of coding.
Anyone interested in helping with this? We'll need a programmer or two versed in PHP, MySQL, CSS, and a little java scripting. We'll need some Sales guys to make a few cold calls or presentations to local businesses informing them of the service. We'll need some marketing guys to build a marketing campaign to make gigs.eokhq.com the place to post your jobs in K'town. We need a couple of business types for due-diligence, business model, financial analysis, etc.
If you're interested, just post a comment explaining why and what you bring to the table. As soon as we have enough interest, we'll add this project to the private EOK project area and get the team rolling forward.
